Known as the Olympics of police and fire fighters, The World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) was first introduced by dozens of Californian police officers in the 1980s which is held once every 2 years now. After three decades of development, members coming from the world’s major countries and regions are involved. Sports are divided into 58 categories , such as football .table tennis .swimming .shooting and so on , nearly 100 events. No police type and age limits, from fresh men to retired ones, police and firefighters from all of the world gather together to celebrate this game. The game not only builds up the bridge of friendship between world police firefighters, it also provides a great opportunity to facilitate cultural exchanges and cooperation with the globe.

16 cities like New York, Melbourne, Ottawa, Stockholm, Barcelona, already have successfully held the WPFG. From 68 different countries, over 30,000 athletes and their families have participated in 2015 Fairfax World police &Fire Games in the United States. In the opening ceremony, the former Secretary of State Colin Powell delivered a speech.
